| Minnesota LPC, LPCC and LADC’s to receive a scholarship for gambling addiction treatment training from the Minnesota Department of Human Services. DHS has determined that the North American Training Institute’s online clinical courses ( total of 60 hours) meets the DHS training criteria of 60 hours of gambling-specific training required to access the state funding loop. The scholarship pays 60% ($540) of the $900 course fee once DHS has determined eligibility. There is an application form for DHS that I can forward to you as well. This is an excellent opportunity for Minnesota clinicians to integrate gambling addiction into their areas of treatment. The course, ‘Counseling the Pathological Gambler I & II’ is also approved by the American Psychological Association, NASW, NBCC and by an array of other approval bodies. www.nati.org/oll
